MY EXPERIENCE
Psychology and Psychotherapy Training and Accreditation
Allison holds an Honours Degree in Psychology from the Open University graduating with the Crowther Award Gold Medal in 2000.
She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy (Couples and Relationships) and a Master’s Degree in Psychotherapy (Couples and Relationships) from Dublin City University.
Allison holds various certificates and qualifications in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Human Resources Management and has undergone extensive training around Safe Relationships.
She is a fully accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and is a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland.
Allison is also a keen member of the Wicklow Fly Fishing Club.




Allison has extensive training working with families facing trauma from her residency with Relate UK in Belfast. This included working with military personnel returning from active combat abroad, from a relationship perspective.
In addition, Allison has also worked for Pieta House, a charity offering a therapeutic approach to people who are in suicidal distress and those who engage in self-harm.
Allison has also worked with the Women's Refuge movement for ten years and has worked with young people with New Life Counselling in the UK. This included young people negotiating parental divorce and separation.
